You own a farm, which has to be defended from wolves. Animals are always running away from your farm, so your main job is to drag them back in. As wolves roam, they try to eat your animals. You have sheeps, ducks, chickens, cows and pigs. You must stop wolves by using traps, bombs and power-ups. Dragging animals into the farm, trapping and exploding wolves add points to your score. Having your animals been eaten or exploded deduct your score.
Try to break you own higher score!!!
GAME PLAY:
- Use your fingers (multi-touch gesture) to drag the animals to the farm.
- Touch on the wolves to get them trapped.
- Double tap the screen to drop a bomb (calculate the wolf path to drop the bomb ahead and be carefull with your animals path).
- Hold the screen down for 2 seconds to activate the power-up and eliminate all the visible wolves.
- Help resources (traps, bombs and power-ups) are limited, so you must know how and when to use them. In order to get more resources you have to keep dragging animals into the farm.
- Traps stop wolves from moving for 10 secs.
- Bombs and power-ups eliminate wolves, but when using bombs you must be carefull to avoid exploding your farm animals.
- When there are not wolves around, don't stop dragging animals into the farm or you'll see another canid.
- As you keep playing, game turns harder (more wolves appear and they become faster).
- There are undefined number of levels, each of them has a different environment (Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring).
Farm Vs Wolves idea was born in the Mobile Programming course I taught in Spring 2012 at Instituto Tecnologico de Campeche in Mexico. I invited into my team, Eduardo Tovar Garcia, a student of the 7th. Semester of the Computer Systems Engineering undergrad program, who designed all the game characters. I also invited Pablo Quijano Villamil and Alejandro Aranda Gomez (my little brother), two students of the 4th. Quarter of the Information Systems Engineering undergrad program at UNID Campeche, who designed all the game level backgrounds, menus, music and sounds.
This game is especially dedicated to Eduardo, Pablo, Alejandro, and all my students who work hard every day at school and dream of becoming great software developers.
